LUNATICK

My coursemates and I have been going through very very stressful and draining times these few weeks. We've uttered statements like "Person go craze for this faculty" , "I fit lose my mind one of these days" , or even "Until person run mad before things go calm down" ... So many statements to just show that we are going through a lot, and it's affecting our mental stability.  It brought to mind the story of a desperate father who had a " Lunatick " son. In modern times, we use the word " Epilepsy ", not Lunatic.  Epilepsy is a brain disease where nerve cells don’t signal properly, which causes seizures. It is a long-term (chronic) disease that causes repeated seizures due to abnormal electrical signals produced by damaged brain cells. The body has a very coordinated way of sending and receiving signals, but in the case of an epileptic patient, sudden impulses are just sent to the brain and this disrupts the normal system causing...

CIRCUMCISION

Dear Reader, I tried to find out a bit about the word "Circumcision" and all the searches showed results about male or female circumcision which really wasn't the reason why I checked the word out.  Circumcision is defined as the removal of the foreskin of the penis in males or the removal of the clitoral hood of the clitoris in females according to the English dictionary and after several other 'seemingly fruitless' searches, I decided to come up with my definition of circumcision as " the removal of something " whatever that might be.  I randomly came across Deuteronomy 30:6 which says "The Lord your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your descendants, so that you may love him with all your heart and with all your soul, and live." NIV .  The word circumcision being used on the heart did not make sense at all to me and that was why I tried to check the dictionary and the web.  A little research about the passage shows that the w...

NEW YEAR💫

Welcome to 2025, Dear Reader💃🎊🌹 This post was supposed to come last week where I would wish you all a 'Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" in advance but I wrote about 4 different pieces and none of them conveyed what I truly had in mind so I gave up and postponed.  Luckily for me, Christmas and New Year fell on Wednesday, the perfect day for a post but today's post may not take the usual pattern of writing because it's a new year and I'm just here to gist and say hello to all my readers.  You all are in my thoughts and prayers and I sincerely hope that your year turns out twice as good as you hope it would.  For all those who are sick, I pray for healing and strength, and for those desperately in need of a miracle, may God grant it unto you. For those who are depressed, bereaved, weary, stranded, or confused, I pray for wisdom, clarity, comfort, and direction for you all. I pray that your soul flourishes and your body remains in good health.  Exodus 23:25 ...
