WINNING ATHLETE
This post should have been made much earlier, maybe around 3 AM or around 1 PM or just anytime during the day, but since things have turned out differently we will work differently too.
Dear Reader, when I was much younger, I used to be quite fast while running and I enjoyed running a lot. I used to represent my school in other schools along with some of my friends, and also participate in inter-house sports. My father's house also happened to have just enough space for us to run around after school and during the holidays, so running was almost an everyday activity for me. As I grew some more, I stopped running (please do not ask me why because I do not have a reason).
Running is good exercise and though I do not run anymore, I enjoy watching people run and perform any form of physical exercise (not hard labour sha) before someone thinks I love hard life🤧
Running and other physical exercises have so many health benefits including; aiding weight loss, enhancing sleep, improving brain health, boosting energy levels, and improving mood among others.
Back to our athletes, we all know that every game has rules, and so also running. "An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules". 2 Tim. 2:5 ESV. We also used to have our rules when we were much smaller. Anyone who doesn't touch the gate before turning back is out of the game😅. This implies that anyone who fails to obey the rules of the game gets disqualified. No matter how outstanding an athlete is, he or she never wins the medal if the rules of the game are not adhered to.
The same concept applies to the Christian faith. All believers are in a race to eternity, and certain rules must be obeyed. Unless we run the race lawfully and according to the set rules, we will not obtain a crown. This further stresses the need for discipline, focus, and endurance. Every time an athlete runs, his/her feet hurt or they get drained, but that doesn't stop them from running regardless. We should do likewise just as Hebrews 12:1 encourages us to.
Knowing fully then that we are athletes as we journey here on earth, I encourage you, dear reader, to compete according to the rules of the game. These rules are found in our manual which is the Bible. Also, put aside every form of distraction and build discipline until you are crowned.
Before we end it for today, here is me asking you to make sure that you exercise regularly. For those of you who will not heed this warning, I'll not say further😅. Stay exercising and remain blessed.

Thank you ma!
