CORONARY HEART DISEASE
Dear Reader, it's a cool evening over here, and I hope that it's the same at your location. So it's been from one activity to the other, one test or assignment to the other, and I almost forgot that a new post was due today, until my heart's alarm reminded me that today is Wednesday. I mentioned 'heart alarm' on purpose, because today's blog post deals with the heart. A lot of us know about "Heart Attacks", but go crazy when we hear that we or our loved ones have been diagnosed with "Coronary Heart Disease" . Well, Coronary Heart Disease popularly called Coronary Artery Disease is a condition where the arteries of the heart which supply oxygen-rich blood to the heart narrow or get blocked as a result of plaque (mostly cholesterol) buildup. With time, there can be total blockage of blood supply to the heart if this disease is not detected on time, resulting in sudden or abrupt death.
