PHYSICIAN NEEDED

Image
Dear Reader, Happy New MonthπŸŽ‰πŸ’«πŸ₯‚ I'm grateful to God for carrying us through January and for how he has helped all of us too. I wish us the perfect February filled with God's unconditional love.  So, I went from writing about having a dual health combo this year to experiencing the worst imbalance ever.  My physical health seemed so unstable and it was affecting my spiritual health. This set up, it can't be for me❌ Amidst the back and forth, I wondered if I should maybe get myself checked or just "lock-up" and let my immune system work as it always does. Whatever the case, I just need to be well.  In our society, it is very rare to find people who just go to the hospital to get themselves checked. I mean no underlying condition, no signs and symptoms, no exposure to health threatening conditions, nothing.  So many people get themselves checked to treat a condition or find out why they feel the way they do.  Matthew 9:12 NKJV [12] When Jesus heard that, He said...

THE PENI~EL LIFE

Image
Dear Reader,  I believe that we all have healthy habits we included as part of our "New Year's resolutions". I had some, but it's barely 21 days and I think that I'm back to default.πŸ€§πŸ˜… What are those healthy habits you planned for the year 2026? Please share in the comments so we can know and hold you accountable, if possible.  Living healthily involves a lot of lifestyle modifications. It involves practices and habits that protect and preserve the quality of life.  The World Health Organization defines healthy lifestyle as  a way of living that lowers the risk of being seriously ill or dying early.  Not all diseases are preventable, but a large proportion of deaths, particularly those from coronary heart disease and lung cancer, can be avoided. This shows that your lifestyle plays a major role in preventing so many of these diseases.  Some healthy living tips include:  - Measure and Watch Your Weight: It is important to maintain a healthy weight and...

SOARπŸ¦…

Dear Reader,  2025 signifies different things to different people.  To some, it was the "best" year ever. Others had the "worst" experience, while others had the good, bad, and ugly experiences. Whatever your experience was, God carried and brought you to this hour.  It wasn't the best year here on the blog, because the year was quite draining, but I'm glad that we kept showing up nonetheless. Balancing everything I had to handle along with the blog was quite challenging, but I'm glad at how far we still came, and for every other small win the brand recorded.  The day after my last post, a tragic event occurred here at the University of Jos which claimed the lives of young and promising students. It was heartbreaking, it was painful, it shook every fiber in us, and we needed healing. 2025 to the affected families and friends was not going to end well, and it was going to leave scars, deep and painful ones in their lives. Say a prayer for everyone who has...

WOUNDED

Image
Today's post is late and hurried, and that is because I managed to get all caught up and before I could blink, it was 11 pm already.  Dear Reader, I hope you've been well and are preparing for the Christmas celebration. Life has been coming so fast and I don't know how the days go by so quickly, but the year is almost over. I hope that you got to achieve all or most of your dreams for the year, and even if you didn't, I hope that you just live, taking one phase at a time as it comes.  Back to today's topic...  I do not love it when I get injured. The process of healing and the time it takes for the wound to heal can be a lot to handle. A patient once came to the pharmacy where I externed with a very big wound he got from an oil burn. Believe me when I say that it wasn't a pleasant sight at all. The only reason I had to attend to this man was because I was training to become a "professional", else, I'd have hurriedly left that place.    The process ...

ABOULOMANIA

Image
Dear Reader,  . . . Saying "Happy New Month" on the 5th day of the month doesn't feel weird and since we haven't met this month, Happy New Month. Here's hoping that you have been faring well and that your year is coming to an end in the way God wants it to.  I'd love to share a story, which will launch me to my topic for today. It is about a young person who was trying to "figure out" life when he got to a 'crossroad'. There were mixed feelings. Moments of indecision, confusion, insecurity, and uncertainty. This affected the person's ability to make minor decisions necessary for their day-to-day activities.  Seemingly little as this might appear, it relates to a condition known as ABOULOMANIA which is a mental disorder characterized by pathological indecisiveness. It can be referred to as the paralysis of the will . It is usually diagnosed alongside other mental disorders such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, or sub...

MEMORY LOSS

Image
Dear Reader, Today happens to be one of those long and hectic days. Days when you do not really imagine your schedule to be tiring and draining, but you just come back all weak, and completely drained. Yes, that was what happened to me.  I lost my device just recently, and it wasn't a fun experience. Everything happened so fast that I didn't even know how I felt. I was stranded and confused. I know that I was hoping to get a better device soon, but I also didn't want to lose the one I was using the way I lost it. In fact, I cried after the incident πŸ˜„πŸ˜… Thankfully, I didn't have to stay without a device for long as God used my Dad to provide another one. I was happy and I tried to activate it and get things back to normal... That was when it began to dawn on me that I had lost almost everything in my former device. My pictures, my chats, my random notes, my messages, and almost everything I had stored in the phone all the while I used it. It felt like a part of my memor...

FEAR, FAITH, OR FIBRILLATION?

Image
Dear Reader,  I'm sorry for ghosting without prior information and without communicating at all. It wasn't intentional. I have been struggling with my phone for a while now and posting can be quite frustrating as a result. School also wasn't all soft and rosy, but thank God that we survived.  Today's post is a "joint" piece. I'll be sharing my 2 cents and also blessing you all with a lovely piece from my friend, Eni❤️.  Fear, Faith, or Fibrillation?  I had the privilege of standing before a large crowd some time back this year. By large, I mean ranging from 1000 or more in my church. Being on stage isn't alien to me but I found that particular experience quite disturbing. To be honest, fear had the better part of me and while I tried to study what I was going to say, I felt my heart beat about 500 times per minute, and with so many irregularities❗πŸ˜‚ That was how tensed I was. And yes, maybe that scenario gives an idea of what " Fibrillation "...
