HUNGRY?!
One evening during this fasting period as I walked through Bauchi Road, I saw so many "Almajiri" children struggling to get food from a vehicle to break their fast. From the way they struggled and the small quantity of food being shared, I knew that so many of them were hungry and the food was not going to sufficiently satisfy their hunger. It reminded me of a very busy day I had some time ago. I was so busy and occupied that I forgot to eat. By the time I got back, I was too hungry to cook something and too weak to even stand so I took water and slept.😅 Someone reading this blog post may have never been " hungry " before. When I mention the word "Hungry", I mean intense, gut-wrenching hunger. The type that would embarrass you in public and make you just want to find something to eat.
